Good question!
We’re in to year two of building and man oh man it’s been a wild ride. For those of you who are local you will have been following our progress on the exterior. We haven’t put up any fences or railings or hedges for a number of reasons; 1. We can’t afford it! 2. As no one else has started building, it’s really useful for security to be able to see the street from all sides of the house and 3. Since the council haven’t started working on the communal garden to the east of our house and no one is building yet on the west, we don’t exactly know how to tackle the boundary treatment. If we planted hedges, they could well get dug up when the neighbouring plots start their ground works.
The good news is that it sounds like neighbouring plots might be starting this summer! Nothing confirmed, but it’s looking good…
So many updates from us, probably too many to post. But we are 90% finished the exterior now and chipping away slowly on the inside.
