Tom Grant Plant in pink!This excellent little digger is onsite with us today digging trial pits for some more information about what kind of foundations we’re going to use.
The back of Plot 4Ever since we were enlisted on the project, we’ve been finding any excuse to head up to the site… Usually on a sunny day…! On this day we scrambled down on to the site from the canal side.

Bantaskin Street 2018We love this beautiful, big, secluded spot, right by the canal. Can’t quite believe we will be building our house here. So many trees, so close to the River Kelvin, Dawsholme Park and the river walkway. Hope on your bike and it’s a 12 minute cycle to the city centre…!

where to put the caravan...We aren’t sure yet if we will be able to put our caravan on our own plot right away, as we can’t secure funds from the bank until July… A kind neighbour has offered us his plot for a few months. We’ll be site security! We’ve seen some 32” static caravans in Loch Gelly and we are KEEN AS MINCE. My main concern is that I won’t want to leave the caravan….
limbo!Cloth tape from A-B… We have loads of space! We don’t want to caravan to get stuck at the back of the plot once the house is up, so ideally we’ll slip it in sideways, so it can be transported off down the side of the house after wards… That is unless we hang on to it and turn it in to our guest house!
